Covid-19 Update

Covid-19 Update

27th November 2021 Update:

It has been a great pleasure to welcome back all our new and old patients over the last 8 months!

We would just like to reassure all patients that we continue to clean the premises regularly and sanitise contact surfaces between treatments.

With the recent news of the new ‘Omicron’ covid variant potentially entering circulation we kindly request that all patients continue to wear a face mask whilst on the premises and sanitise their hands on arrival.

We have been very busy and would like to apologise for the lack of availability some of you have had in finding an appointment. This is likely to carry on in the run up to Christmas.

The easiest place to check availability is right here on the booking page.

We wish everyone a very Happy and healthy Christmas!

Best wishes

Laurent and Lisa

5th Jan 2021 Update:

Unfortunately we have taken the difficult decision to temporarily close from the 5th January 2021 and will notify all patients with appointments individually. We will also update this website to let you all know when we are reopening. In the meantime please contact us if you should need any help or advice with an existing or new problem.

Best wishes and stay healthy!

Laurent and Lisa

A big welcome and welcome back to all our new and returning patients.

Please read the the new pre-appointment questioning below before you come in for your appointment.

To maintain the highest levels of hygiene within the clinic and to minimise the risk of infection, we have some essential pre-appointment screening questions that we must go through now before you come to your upcoming appointment. This screening is vital, so please read all the information below carefully.

We now screen everyone before they come to the clinic for a potential Covid-19 infection. So please ask yourself these questions;

– Have you been in close contact with anyone who’s been diagnosed with Covid-19 infection?

– Have you been in close contact with anyone exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19 infection?

– Do you have a high temperature (over 37.8*c)?

– Do you have a new, continuous cough?

– Do you have any loss or change to your sense of taste or smell?

If you answer YES to any of these then we suggest you visit the NHS online service for Covid-19. We will also unfortunately have to reschedule your appointment, so please kindly contact us asap to do this.

We also need to ask if you are in the ‘high risk’ group?; Do you fall into any of these categories?

– Did you receive a letter from the NHS asking you to ‘shield’?

– Have you had an organ transplant?

– Are you undergoing cancer treatment?

– Do you have a severe respiratory condition?

– Is your immune system compromised in any other way?

If you answered YES to any of these then the NHS advice was previously to stay at home and ‘shield’. This now in many cases has been lifted and so you can be treated. Obviously, those that were shielding are more at risk and so are those that still need to be more careful. If you were previously shielding and wish to discuss your specific situation then please call us.

If after going through the questions above, you;

– Pass the Covid-19 screening, feel your symptoms need hands-on treatment from a health professional such as ourselves, then please proceed to make your appointment. Thanks!

YOUR APPOINTMENT:

Please wear a face mask to your appointment. Should you forget, masks will be available at cost price for you.

When you enter the waiting area please sanitize your hands and proceed to the bathroom to wash your hands. Please then take a seat and we will come out to greet you.

We will take your temperature with a contactless forehead thermometer.

Kindly arrive no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment.

If appropriate, try to come alone instead of bringing other family members with you.

Avoid bringing in unnecessary items like bags etc with you.

Kindly aim to pay by card, the contactless limit is now £45

BETWEEN APPOINTMENTS:

We will allow ample time to clean the practice and disinfect any surfaces a patient may have come into contact with, ie; door handles/toilet facilities/taps/chairs/clinic couch/floor etc.

We will be wearing PPE to include face mask/visor/apron/nitrile gloves. The gloves are latex free and hypoallergenic.

The practice room will be well ventilated with warmed fresh air from outside.

Whilst we are taking every precaution possible (as outlined above) to minimise the risk, we unfortunately, but hopefully understandably, cannot absolutely guarantee that the risk of exposure is zero.

If after reading all of the measures in place for infection prevention and control you, at this time, do not want to consent to face-to-face treatment, then just contact us and we can reschedule your appointment.

Whilst we are taking all precautions to minimise risk there will always be a small chance of infection. By attending the practice you consent to this risk, and also any risks from Osteopathic treatment itself.

Thank you for taking the time to read through this. We care deeply about all our patients and the community and want to do all that is possible to minimise risk.

If you have any questions then please contact us.

Kind regards,

Laurent and Lisa
